Invoking The River

Invoking The River is a Kathak (Indian Classical) dance and multimedia performance choreographed by Charlotte Moraga, and produced by Chitresh Das Institute, exploring the mythological status of four rivers in India and their current day degradation.

I created the multi media in the form of three short films comprising painting, live footage and poetry that served as first person narrators (Sutradhars) in the rivers’ voice.
